My Idea For Israeli Palestinian Peace Make Sense!
I’m a bit miffed. I was so excited about my idea. I thought that everyone would just jump up and down with joy and say we found a solution to all the problems in Gaza and with the Palestinians and creating a state and what to do with the West Bank and how to make sure that Hamas is eliminated
I sent out about 75 letters that were addressed to King Charles and Prince William and included a nice multi the one that’s in the section below and I got zero response. I listen on the news to Trump’s plan to move all the Palestine ends someplace if they took some they’ve already taken so many or Egypt who knows where. Trump looks at Gaza as real estate and has forgotten that there was a Palestine in population that had lived there and has been desirous of a homeland. I think they deserve one and my idea gives them one with the creation of new Palestine.
I listen on the news two people questioning how to eliminate Hamas what to do about the Palestinians and what to do about the West Bank. Well, don’t you know my Idea sells all those problems but who knows if anyone will grab a hold of it and move with it I certainly hope so.
I have also sent out a lot of emails and will continue in addition to making phone calls to particularly Senator Schumer, Senator Sanders and Senator Shiff. They are all Jewish and certainly have a strong interest in creating a solution.
Jared Kushner is already talking about building a hotel in Gaza! My idea includes the eventual building of Hotels. I also sent the letter and the idea to Jared, but he hasn’t called yet.
My Idea For a Real & Lasting Israeli Palestinian Peace
New Palestine Will Become Part of The Commonwealth Hence the Letter
To: King Charles & Prince William:
My idea would:
1 - Eliminate HAMAS.
2 - Create a “home” for the Palestinians I call New Palestine
3 - Solve the problem of the Palestinians & Jews in The West Bank creating states, or provinces, of New Palestine in what is now The West Bank
4 - Renaming the balance of The West Bank Judea Samaria as a new country with Jews having duel citizenship with Israel & Arabs, if they wish, with New Palestine.
5 - New Palestine would become part of The Commonwealth (thus my letter to King Charles & Prince William). This would assure no leader comes in who “decides” to kill all Jews & destroy Israel.
6 - New Palestine would be razed & rebuilt in my Community Living Center concept. This would make all Palestinians functioning humans.
Both of you can be the “force” behind Israeli Palestinian peace, eliminating HAMAS, with creating what I call “New Palestine” being part of The Commonwealth.
Peace & a functioning Palestinian population, using my Community Living Center (CLC) concept, could be a reality very soon. My idea is outlined below. I believe, it is the ONLY solution & accomplishes all the goals of both populations & will eliminate HAMAS. England has had the most important history regarding Israel & this area of The Middle East.
King Charles: You did a beautiful job helping to create Poundbury. Working with Palestine architects & planners, you can also help create & design New Palestine.
I call it New Palestine so there is no confusion with Palestine. Before Israel became a country, the Jewish homeland WAS Palestine! Golda Meir said when she immigrated she got a Palestinian passport. Jews were Palestinians & Arabs were Palestinians.
1 - Egypt will give land to the south of Gaza, about 2 sq miles to build a tent city. After building New Palestine, this land would become a high end luxury Egyptian resort. It would be the place where the Palestinians would be moved to a new tent city with water & many common bathrooms with showers & tubs. They would remain there until what was Gaza is rebuilt (plan below).
2 - All of Gaza will be razed except the hospital. Israel will update the hospital, as needed. After all buildings are razed the tunnels will be flooded to “abolish” Hamas. After floodimg, tunnels would be filled in. Israel has a long history in caring for Arabs in hospitals, clinics, etc.
3 - With the flooding of the tunnels, Hamas members will either drown or be captured for a trial (& jail ?). The old Gaza will be cleared & rebuilt by the world in my Community Living (CLC) concept to create a functioning New Palestine population.
4 - The buildings would be a mix from high rises to tiny houses. Larger units would be built for those who want to live in New Palestine to participate in the CLC. There would be four types of CLCs:
a - A Working CLC where people would work in a profit oriented business & live there. CLC’s would have common dining rooms, as well as private kitchens in each unit. There would be shared cooking, cleaning, etc.
b - A Learning CLC where people go to get a degree &/or a Certificates of Excellence in some speciality. They will then be able to get a job anywhere in the world.
c - A Caring For CLCs for people who didn’t fit into a or b.
d - A Retirement CLCs for old farts like me.
At the beginning, there would also be an intake CLC to derermine which CLC each individual would go to. CLCs will allow the population of New Palestine to become fully functioning.
5 - Areas in the West Bank that are occupied by Arabs would become States or Provinces of New Palestine. Negotiators can settle the boundries. These areas are not physically connected to the main land mass of New Palestine (like Alaska & Hawaii being part of America) but would be part of the country of New Palestine. The balance of The West Bank would be a new “legal entity”, or country, Judea & Samaria. It would not be part Israel. There are abour 700,000 Jews living in what is now The West Bank. Judea & Samaria would also become part of The Commonwealth.
I think you’ll agree this the ONLY idea that will work. Both of you can make peace & New Palestine a reality.
Most do not understand the history of Jews, Israel, the Palestinians, the West Bank & Gaza. There is lots of misinformation out there! When Golda Meir immigrated to what was then Palestine, she said “I got a Palestine Passport - Jews were Palestinians and Arabs were Palestinians.” At Jewish holiday meals, before 1948, it was common to say “Next year in Palestine”! That was the name of the newly hoped for homeland. The UN called it Israel as that is how the land is referred to in the Bible. Arafat confused everyone to think The Palestinians were indigenous to the land. Sorry - the history is Jews were the 1st to settle, & live, in Judea & Samaria - what is now Israel & The West Bank. Arafat was offered 90% of what he wanted at the Camp David Accords with President Clinton and Begin. This is before Jews has settled in the West Bank. He refused! Why? Because, I read, he took about 50% of the money that came into the PLO and put it in his private Swiss bank account. He had a wife who lived in Paris - she liked nice clothing & nice jewelry. There was no way he was giving up his cash flow for something as unimportant to him as peace!

Community Living Centers - CLC's
A Workable Solution to Homelessness,The Shelter System & an Alternative for the Poor & A Place For "
My idea s a practical solution to begin to end homelessness & the shelter system. CLC's could also provide an alternative to wayward "youth" My “vision” is to begin with the approx 30,000 homeless Vets. I call the plan Community Living Centers (CLCs). Units will be in a wide range of structures. Anything from a high rise to tiny homes.
My idea is to build CLCs on vacant, inexpensive, land or in cities that need revitalization or just want a CLC in their city. My plan involves construction of CLCs as condominiums (not for the CLC's in New Gaza). Units will be purchased by CLC sponsors. This could include a wide range. Maybe 1 or 2 “Oprah Winfrey CLC), by Corporations, the wealthy - individual units or as a full CLC Sponsor. Even with 1 sponsor, the CLC will still be built as condo units so the sponsor can decide what they want to do. Governments may be sponsors too. Units would be bought with a down payment with the balance at closing. They are condos, so a mortgage can be taken out. This will help pay for the construction.
Medical systems where the CLC is being built will be involved to set up all the medical needs. The “member” will live there and then the sponsor may eventually sell it or even give it to the previously homeless.
I propose each CLC will have 300 - 500 “members” (that means about 100 CLC's just for homeless viets!) & units would be built for homeless, families & “outsiders” who want to live in a CLC.
CLCs would be built as high rises, mid rise, 2 story &/or tiny homes (Elon Musk shows tiny homes for $15,000). Larger units & homes would be built for those described above. There would be a common dining room where members would share cooking, cleaning, maintenance, etc. Each unit would have its own kitchen also.
There would be 4 types of CLCs:
1 - A Working CLC where members would work in a profit oriented business.
Members would receive a weekly stipend but their housing & food is taken care of by the CLC.
2 - Learning CLCs where members would get a degree or a Certificate of Excellence in a specialized field . This should allow them to get a job anywhere in the world.
3 - A Caring For CLC if the member did not fit into 1 or 2
4 - A Retirement CLC for old farts like me
5 - An Intake CLC (only at the beginning of that CLC) to determine where that new “member” should go.
I lived in Israel (’84 - ’87) & spent much time on the kibbutz where my wife’s cousins lived - Kibbutz Bachan. I have fond memories of how wonderful life was for these financially poor Argentinians who immigrated to Israel when it became a State. I soon thought how wonderful something like that would be for America. I have had the concept of Community Living Centers (CLCs) for many years but only now am I starting an aggressive campaign to present the plan to all as outlined above.

My Idea is for the Creation of the Country of New Palestine to be governed by, or overseen by, The Commonwealth. This will assure no leader, or someone who overtakes the government, decides they want to kill all the Jews and destroy Israel. It will assure a lasting peace between Israel & The Palestinians. After

[Israel has a long history in caring for Arabs in hospitals, clinics, etc. Israel is only country in the world where Arabs have full human rights. 20% of Israel’s citizens are Arab - Arabs sit in The Knesset & there is an Arab Supreme Court Judge].

Well, well! Since I posted this over 1 yr ago, starting with "The history of the Jews & Arabs in Israel" below, much has changed! I "forgot" Hamas was "in charge" in Gaza & they have the destruction on Israel in their charter. They teach young kids to carry a pastic machine gun and chant "I want to kill a Jew!" Not a great partner for peace. There is much talk about the need for a "two state solution", but what land is being planned for the Palestinians? They are not a desirable commodity - Egypt & Jordan are not interested in helping them. The history of Israel offering a state for the Palestinians in The West Bank is history. Arafat did not want to give up the large cash flow to the PLA which he took a good share fore himself. Then the Jews decided they wanted to live in Judea/Samaria, the ancestorial homeland of the Jews. Beautiful country & cheap housing could be be created there. Now there ae almost 700,000 living there! Just gt thm all to leave? I think not. So there are 3 problems: 1 - Who is th partner for peace; 2 - Who will be their leader & 3 - What land will become Palestine. I cannot answer the first 2, but maybe my idea, below, could be a foundation for what land will be in The Country of Palestine.
The history of the Jews and Arabs in Israel and the West Bank is complicated. The country of Israel has a population of approximately 9 million of which approximately 2 million are Arabs with a good majority of them being citizens of Israel. There is a Arab Supreme Court Judge & Arabs who are in other government positions, including the Knesset. They live a comfortable life as Israeli citizens. A recent post stated that Israel has about 400 mosques in Israel, 73 in Jerusalem. This is an 8 fold increase since 1988. Walls had been built surrounding some West bank Arab towns because people from those communities went out killing Jews in settlements. The killings dropped dramatically after thecwalls were built. Arab citizens of Israel are not required to serve in the Army unlike Jewish Israelis. About 1,000 Arabs enlisted themselves in the Israeli army.
Over the years, there have been many attempts by Israel to create a Palestinian State. This includes in 2000 an offer from Ehud Barak, then Israel’s Prime Minister, to Arafat at a Camp David. The meeting was with Pres. Bill Clinton. Arafat was offered approximately 90% of what he asked for.
This was before the influx of Israelis into settlements in the West Bank. Arafat rejected this offer because being the leader of the PLO was a cash cow for him. Tens of millions of dollars every year went to his private Swiss bank accounts and to help support his wife living comfortably in Paris.
In 1967, Israel captured the West Bank from Jordan in the Six-Day War when Israel was attacked by all the surrounding Arab countries. Over in 6 days! Israelis started building settlements and towns in the West Bank as they felt this was their historical homeland. There is now a huge Jewish population in the West Bank, and territorial divisions are complicated.

The History of Life in “The West Bank” is Complicated (as are many things in life!)
422 Million Arabs Live in The Middle East. Only 1.6 million of them have complete political & religious freedom, gender equality, freedom of speech & freedom of the press - All of those 1.6 million live here? Israel!
Israel has a population of 8.84 million with 1.9. million arabs, most citizens of Israel with all the rights & benefits of being Israeli citizens. The Knesset, the governing body in Israel has 120 “members” - 17 or 14% of the are Arabs.
The are now 400+ mosques in Israel, 73 in Jerusalem. The number of mosques in Israel has increased 5 fold since 1988 when there were just 80. 300 Imams receive monetary grants from the Israeli government.
But, life IS complicated in The West Bank & so is the history. The West Bank was “won” from Jordan in the 6 day war. All the Arab countries surrounding Israel started the war against Israel on June 5, 1967. In 6 days, Israel defeated all the aggressors & this was part of the peace agreement. The Arabs lost 20,000 soldiers, Israel lost !,000. It was after the 6 day war that Jews started developing settlements in The West Bank. It is the ancestral homeland for the Jews, is beautiful & housing was cheap! East Jerusalem became a hub of activity because the commute to Jerusalem was short & a 2BR in Jerusalem might be about $500,000 + where as a 2 BR in, say Gilo, might be $200,000. Good reason to make that choice. The settlement activity grew as Jews found this to offer many things they wanted - cheap housing, living in the original homeland (Tel Aviv did not exist in ancient times), beautiful topography +++.
A barrier between Abu Dis and East Jerusalem was constructed in June 2004. The barrier was built by Israel following a wave of Palestinian political violence and incidents of terrorism inside Israel during the Second Intifada, which began in September 2000 and ended in February 2005. The Israeli government cites a decreased number of suicide bombings carried out from the West Bank as evidence of its efficacy, after such attacks fell from 73 between 2000 and July 2003 (the completion of the first continuous segment) to 12 between August 2003 and the end of 2006.
Israeli checkpoints are barriers erected as intended to enhance security of Israel and Israeli settlements.
There are over 700 road obstacles to control Palestinian movement within the West Bank. This is not to punish the Palestinians but to prevent killings! It has mostly worked.

Could This Happen?
“Announcing The Grand Re Re Opening of The Palace Theater (abandoned in the 40’s & renovated for Judy Garland) - The Grandest of All Shows - Judy Garland At The New Palace Theater Sings Highlights & Duets with Current & Future Stars (+ a sing-a-long). Ads will encourage people to come in costume - anything from a Munchkin from The Wizard of Oz (Remember The Lollipop Guild) to Judy as Dorothy or in her famous poppy dress. Is it possible that a new restaurant & store can be opened in the retail space? “Judy’s” - ala Ellen’s Stardust with waiters singing Judy Garland songs & some sing-a-longs. Dining time will be limited or they will stay forever! A connecting store can sell Judy Garland & Wizard of Oz merchandise. The “plan” for the show is all on JudyGarlandSongs.com. My idea is that anyone famous (including Liza Minnelli & Lorna Luft -& Joey, if he takes singing lessons) can come at ay the to sing with Judy. What famous stars might want to sing with her? Would Barbra (they sang the most beautiful duet every made - Get Happy). How about Barry Manilow who already did a duet on YouTube (sound is bad) Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart (chose 2.50 minutes). Who doesn’t want to sing with Judy?. There would be sing a longs with the lyrics as an insert in th program. He available songs, movies, concerts, documentaries, interviews with her & others is almost unlimited. It could change regularly & not know who might show up that performance could make it an exciting adventure. All would b pay union scale.There would b an MD (John Fricke ?) to go from story to story. Some Ideas That I Think Make Sense
Times Square is About Broadway & Theaters:
Sorry, Mickey and Minnie and the naked cowboy, and all the other characters that are throughout Times Square soliciting tourist to take their picture and then bothering them for money, have NOTHING to do with Broadway or Times Square. New York City needs to pass an ordinance that only allows people sanctioned by Broadway or off Broadway theaters to be in Times Square in costume & to solicit. These other characters can be relegated to the side treats to ply their trade.
No more TKTS Booth & Waiting in line, sometimes up to 1 hr. FINISHED!
1 - What I propose are TKTS people, dressed in a special TKTS outfits, that would carry a hand held device to sell DKTS at the discount for that day and to sell future tickets at full price. They would be able to take the credit card on the machine and to send a QR code to the customer as their ticket. This should increase sales dramatically because it makes it easy to buy tickets. You don’t have to wait on line at TKTS. You don’t have to pay a service fee at one of the brokers online you don’t have to go to the theater. You just have to go to Times Square and find a TKTS live human being representative. No so difficult! I recommend the GoDaddy smaller handheld device.

2 - Theaters that have strong demand for their show should have 14 performances a week. Many people prefer a matinee and why leave the theater vacant four days a week during matinee when money could be made.

4 - I have presented my idea of the reopening of The Palace Theatre in Times Square with "Judy Garland Sings Some of Her Highlights with Video & Live Duets & a Sing a Long" to the 2 owners, James Nederlander (Pres. of The Nederlander Organization) & Stewart Lane. I also sent a letter to Elton John asking him to write a theme song, perhaps incorporating it with her orchestral intro. I have also asked if he & his husband, David Furnish, would like to produce the shows. Or maybe Barbra Streisand would like to - she & Judy were "tight". I have also asked Susan Stroman do the sets & choreography. I read she is interested in new & often young choreographers. She could use differnet ones for The Judy Garland Highlights shows. So many of Judy’s songs in the Highlight shows could have new choreographers present their work. ne good example is got a pair of new shoes probably half hour 40 minutes could be work just from that one song from Judy singing it to people singing duets with her to dance numbers to the audience participating in the sing-along just one song of hers could entertain an audience for easily 30 or 40 minutes. I don’t think they’ll be anything to compare to lion King, but the music is brilliant and her creating the animals and everything else about the show is above spectacular.
Perhaps Simon Cowel could pass talent one for 1 Highlight performance. I envision big stars being able to come on even at the last minute and sing with judy. Of course you’ll have to know what they’re going to sing so there might be some planning involved, but the idea is to have the show open to whoever wants to come to sing with Judy Garland and to sing a little bit on their own.
Did you got in my story would be presented in two parts the first half of her life from her being an unwanted baby until she was fired from Annie get your gun for not showing up at all for filming in XXX until the end of her life in 1969. My idea is that those shows would run just three or four days a week and the balance of the shows both matinee and evening shows. I’m calling Judy Garland highlights and basically that is taking any of her body of work which is almost unlimited and using videos of her singing Both solo where people can join in singing with her they can’t be famous people they can be in famous people people who will be chosen by maybe Susan Stroman, as I understand she has an interest in finding new talent. But I think there’s a lot of a found talent that would love to sing with Judy Garland maybe Barbra Streisand who sang the most beautiful duet ever created. Get happy that was Judy Garland combining happy days and get happy. It is on show number 9 - if you watch the entire show scroll past the stupid comedians unless you like stupid comedians I guess one of the things about to do Garland show is that they still look contemporary even though they were made in the early 60s Judy had her hand and everything and she was like a good architect who built a building that is timeless She knew how to create a show that was timeless look at any other show made in early 60s not the Judy Garland show. Parts of all the shows could become part of the highlights. Really, the possibilities are almost limitless. I am proposing that Liza Minnelli and Lorna left can show up for any show whether it be a life story show or a highlight show to take over part in the show or to sing with their mama and sing by themselves also. They will get paid as all the other people who show up and that would be union wage the actor or actress who was supposed to play the part that night will either play another part or sit out and get paid. This will create a new excitement on Broadway not knowing who is gonna show up for one of the highlight shows. People can know what is in that show in advance. For example, it could be a highlight show. Just using Judy Garland show number three and people could listen to that show before they come to Broadway and familiarize themselves with some of the songs that will be in the show as sing-alongs. I’ll have to look at show number three myself to see which songs might be appropriate for that particular show, but like I said it is unlimited. The interview with Liza Minnelli is something remarkable and the interview is on the left is also quite telling about Judy Garland’s life and interest, forcing the interviews with songs and duets and dances I think would be very entertaining.
I am also proposing that the retail store created when they raised the palace theater to create that valuable retail space should be used as a Judy Garland and Wizard of Oz showroom selling all the Judy Garland and Wizard of Oz products that are out there.
I suggest that the Judy Garland story went told be told either in a live performance or by video by John Frickey, who I call Mr. Judy Garland he knows everything about that woman and his presentation is something that would be a asset to both Of Life story and her highlight shows. He has written many books on Judy Garland as well as books on the Wizard of Oz.
I am so enthusiastic about this idea. I think it may be a huge blockbuster where there might even be two theaters having Judy Garland highlight shows and maybe just in the palace theater the Judy Garland life story would play every day matinee and evening and another theater would have Judy Garland highlights. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how strong demand is, but I know once you get to know this woman and listen to her. It’s hard to stop. She has a unique ability of transcending time and space when you watch your thing on video even though she’s been dead for 60 years somehow you feel like she is singing just to you and you actually develop connection with her and as you get to know about her life, you become very sympathetic to her as a human being very enthusiastic about her as her humanity was remarkable on many levels on so many levels with so many stories although that can be part of Judy Garland highlights it really can go on forever and what pleasure there would be in creating different highlight chose And having new talent come to perform with her and having old talent come to perform with her.
Oh boy, I’m so excited. There are so many Judy Garland mixes and playlist on YouTube that just a few songs from each of these can be a highlight show. I just came across a YouTube blah blah blah that has his number videos often times I’ll put the news on and listen for a few minutes because that’s about all my Nervous system can take and then I put onto Judy Garland and often times she is singing to me when I wake up because there’s so many songs in the playlist in the mixes that I can now say that I truly slept with Judy Garland you can too. Like I tell everyone how can you find a woman who is so easy to get along with and always sings to you whenever you ask her to and her voice isn’t so bad either I guess the one unique thing about listening to Judy Garland is a very rarely hear a song that’s less than wonderful. Oh that one was wonderful. The next one is more wonderful. I guess that makes it wonderfuler!
In case you don’t know, the Palace theater was renovated for Judy Garland in 1951 and had abandoned for 18 years and she loved who became with her husband after Judy Garland was fired from Annie get your gun knew that she was the greatest star of her day and had the most beautiful voice ever, and he was in Times Square and saw the theater was abandoned and knew the owner and called him and said why don’t you renovated it for Judy to sing there and the owner did and her show lesson for 40 weeks she put on two shows a day also down all great reviews and I think I told you the story about John Kennedy, but I will go back and read what I read what I wrote. Everyone falls in love with Judy Garland. You can’t help it except my cousin DAVID who happens to be a singer himself, but said to me, I don’t give a rat ass about Judy Garland. Well, that’s too bad David.

Such Dramatic Change in NYC
1 - Define NYC Neighborhoods
Define neighborhoods with boundaries & have Community Board represent 1 or more neighborhood.
2 - Garbage
My idea for dealing with the garbage situation and the black plastic bags was to have created on each block two large containers that would be done by artist that would have interests on the sidewalk side to put in regular garbage and recycling garbage and there would be doors on the street side where the garbageman will pick it up. My idea is that these containers would have seating and flower boxes and places to post notices so people on the block can advertise and get to know their neighbor.
2 - Better Signs
Sign all over are often not there. create better signs in the Subway system just hire someone to go around into each subway and think if someone is getting off the subway what information do they want and to put up the signs so that it is easy to maneuver around the New York City subway system right now I always have to ask someone but the sign is not so difficult to put up. Of course the condition of the subways is deplorable and I guess when the city has enough money, it will certainly look at that as a priority.
3 - Paint Buildings
There is so much dull (red brick box buildings) architecture in NYC. Not only all the projects, but some higher end properties like Stuyvesant Town & Peter Cooper Village. paint buildings what is more boring than a red brick apartment house so many of them in New York City to start with perhaps ETown and Peter Cooper Village could take on a program to paint each building for example indiv and Town each building might be painted with a theme of a famous artist, people can say I live in the van Gogh building. I live in the Picasso building whatever but that would make the whole area much more beautiful will increase property values and I think be good for everyone maybe in Peter Cooper Village they can have different birds for each building like I live in the bluebird building. I live in the red Robin building or whatever anyway when Donald Trump said he was going to run for president at first I was very excited because I knew that he built beautiful buildings, even when everyone else was still building red brick box buildings, but then he came down the escalator and things really went downhill from there. I am writing Elon Musk about participating in my idea for new Palestine by creating a large number of his tiny homes which I’ve seen what I saw said they cost $15,000 each and they are beautiful with kitchens and bathrooms and seating and well laid out, but I’ve also asked him my letter That he asked Donald Trump not to arrest senators and congressman who investigated his January 16 party that’s not very democratic that’s like a dictator which I guess he may end up by being. I’ve also asked him to ask Donald Trump to stop selling his commemorative A.R. 15 automatic weapons. I just don’t think that is good historical lady to have a president who sells automatic weapons to the public. Also, I just read that Elon Musk wants to defund Social Security while I’ve asked not to do that. I receive Social Security and I really depend upon that. I just don’t have the same resources he does so maybe he doesn’t understand that everyone is not a multi billionaire. Some people actually have to strive to make it through each month.

4 - Fix NYCHA
Anyone familiar with the problems of The New York City Housing Authority knows of the serious problems that have persisted in most of this housing stock - everything from no heat in the winter to lead paint to consistently deteriorating structures and apartments.
Maintaining housing is expensive and the City & State didn’t have the resources to keep up and significant deterioration ensued.
New York City has had a massive turn around over the last 20 years with strong demand for housing everywhere in New York City.
My idea would be to convert buildings to condos. It would begin with the worst projects are the first converted. The idea is to offer tenants an amount of money to move. They would not be obliged to accept this offer, however, I think, many would take a reasonable sum and be happy to move someplace, often back to family, and have that sum of money for themselves. If they did not accept the payout, they will continue under their current protection.
The State in the City would then proceed to renovate buildings, apartments and landscaping and sell the newly renovated apartments at a market rate. The infusion of money from the sale of the apartments would allow for a substantial repayment to the State and the City.
I think everyone would be happy with thus plan. The ones who took the payout because they will get the money, the remaining tenants will be happy because they will be living in a renovated building with renovated landscaping & restored apts. The neighborhood will be happy because they will have a building with upscale landscaping and renovated buildings. The City will be happy because they will now have property that generates tax revenue.
In conjunction with my idea I propose that the red brick boxes, which is what almost every New York City Housing Authority project looks like, be painted in colorful cheerful ways to create a more positive impact visually on the landscape in our City. Perhaps in a large complex, buildings would be painted in individual bird themes “I live in the Red Robin building”. Other themes as countries, could be used. This could upgrade existing large complexes like Peter Cooper Village. There are many red brick box buildings in NYC.

I moved to New York City after I graduated college in 1970 and within a few years I was hired by an attorney who is buying apartment houses. This is like 1973 and apartment houses and we’re not assets. They were liabilities if you’re losing 20 or $30,000 a year and the city is considering filing bankruptcy and there’s drug dealing graffiti and prostitution and everything bad Including the white population fleeing New York. There’s not much demand by these money losing apartment houses and there’s a huge supply many owners couldn’t sell their building so they decided why don’t we just burn it maybe we’ll get some insurance money. I had a car and I would drive around New York and look for real estate to buy and he gave me a view of New York City in the early 70s. The first building I bought was at 2:80 and 282 E. 10th St. and I was living at 210 E. 83rd St. and on the upper side the numbers are all the same between the avenues so I thought I would take the second Ave. bus and walk to the west but then I found out in fact that the numbers were different and the lower side, and I started walking to the east And when I got to Avenue B I continued noticing that there was not one building on that block that wasn’t burned out there were trash cans with fires and prostitutes and drug dealers and these two buildings were standing attacked about halfway down the block with the old Italian couple sitting in the store. It was a Saturday and they came every Saturday to collect rent and keep an eye on their buildings.
I used to buy brown stones and what were secondary neighborhoods of Brooklyn like Boreham Hill and blank plan. I have to spend 80,000 bucks to buy a whole brownstone. I would fix it up and sell it for 120 now the brownstone sell for about two or 3 million and the Change in New York City has been beyond dramatic. I love New York with a passion so I will continue with ideas I have for New York City.

My grandfather was born in Vilna, Lithuania & immigrated to America with his 2 sisters. The went trough Ellis Island & settled on the lower East side of Manhattan. He met my grandmother and moved to Brooklyn where her parents had a woman’s clothing and notions stores on Flatbush Ave. In the late 30s, he had a friend who moved to St. Pete, Fla, and he drove down to check it oWhat is Miller spelled backwards? My grandfather immigrated with his two sisters from Vilna, Lithuania around 1910. They went through Ellis Island and settled on the ut. He liked it and decided to move his family there. In St. Pete, he wanted to get a job, as a new resident, but no one would hire him because he was Jewish. So he opened a women’s clothing store in downtown St. Pete called Miller’s - that was their last name. Soon they joined the beach club of a big new hotel on St. Pete Beach, The Don Cesar. They played cards on the terrazzo patio in the back of the hotel. But they were told at the end of the first summer that they couldn’t join the next year because they weren’t accepting Jews anymore. So he got a “bug up his ass!” He wanted to build a hotel that would be open for Jewish clientele or anyone else to stay there. He found a piece of property just south of The Don Cesar, in Pass-a-Grille. It is the Southern tip of St Pete Beach & is okly about 200 yards wide from Boca Ciega Bay on the East & the Gulf of Mexico & the beach on the West. He couldn’t buy the property because there was a restrictive covenant in the deed. You couldn’t sell to a Jew, a black person or an Asian! He got a friend to buy the property for him, and they transfered the deed to my grandparents. He built a beautiful, two-story Art Deco hotel with 40 rooms. It is on the postcard - the white 2 story art decco structure. When I get my new (reconditionrd) Mac, I should be able to dowliad ikaged tobthr desjtio Then move them to thev2 imafr u r entiyrd to on eac sectio ga big lobby, a large dining room overlooking Boca Ciega Bay, a patio & dock in the back. It was an American plan hotel, which meant everyone staying there got their meals included in the price of the room. So there were no prices on the menus. Everyone keot their table throughout their stay as well as the same waitress. In the first year, they didn’t know what to do to get guests & they tried to flag cars down sitting on the front patio. The next year they had a friend who would take his wealthy clientele out to sea for the entire winter. But the ships weren’t going out anymore because of the war. His friend said he would take over the hotel and bring his clientele down. It turned out he had a very wealthy group of clients, including Henry Crown, who built and owned the Empire State Building, and Morton Blumenthal, famous Broadway producer! They all loved the hotel because, even though they were wealthy, they weren’t “Miami Beach glitzy” wealthy. They liked the quiet life in St Pete. My grandparents were gracious hosts & the food was amazing. They could walk across the street to the beach where cabanas and changing rooms were constructed. St. Pete Beach is beautiful & is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. The guests said they loved staying there & most said they would come back the next year. So now my grandparents had a built-in group of guests. And the help all came back every year also. They all worked in a hotel in Maine and when that hotel closed after Labor Day, they could come down and stay at homes my grandparents had bought near the hotel and have a vacation until they had to start getting the hotel ready to open. It was only open from the middle of December to the middle of April. My grandparents had bought homes near the hotel, and everything on Pass-a-Grille is near the beach. They called the hotel The Rellim - what is Miller spelled backwards? It was like a sitcom because everyone knew everyone. My mother’s two sisters had married & moved north. They would come down with their families at Christmas time for a family reunion. My mom & I lived in St. Pete & her brother, Iwin, when he graduated from Cornell School of Hotel Management, came “home”, married my Aunt Sonya (she was a beauty - inside & out) & they helped run the hotel. Everyone loved them because they were a charming, intelligent wonderful couple. Being at The Rellim was like going to camp & our “annual” family reunion was a highlight of all the family. In the early 50s they build 8 villas on the gulf side. Each villa had three motel rooms with a beautiful walkway to the new clubhouse & pool. The clubhouse was large with tables set up for a buffet lunch. Guess it’s good now have lunch in the formal dining room, or at the clubhouse.
There was a room to serve the Buffet & a kitchen and bar in the clubhouse. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was served in the main dining room & only lunch (& a weekly cocktail party) in the clubhouse. In the dining room, every guest had the same table for every meal, and the same waitress. Ours was Libby, She was a short redhead woman who was a happy waitress because she had her “cocktail hour” every day at 6:30 in the morning. “Good morning isn’t it a beautiful day!”She always had a smile on her face. People would line up in front of the Buffay room to make sure they were early for all the wonderful food. Every afternoon at 3 o’clock a man will come around the pool with orange juice on a tray and then as the sun was setting people would often go into the cocktail lounge in the clubhouse for a drink. The dining room opened at 6:45. w
Women got dressed in nice dresses with jewelry and high heels. Men wore coats and ties. After dinner, every night at 9 o’clock, there was an activity in the clubhouse. One night might be bingo, horse racing another night, a movie, a fashion show, a lecture +++. Every Saturday night was a live band with dancing. Every day was full - swimming in the pool & Gulf of Mexico, vollyball & football on the beach, a visit to the solarium for naked wirship to “the sun.” Every day was fun & joy! If it was nasty out, Aunt Sonya would plan activities - bowling, a trip to the dog track, whatever. Always keep the guests busy & happy. You were never bored at The Rellim! Uncle Irwin knew how to get the best food & serve it beautifully. It was called the realm because my Grandpa & Grandma Miller opened The Rellim Hotel just S of The Don Cesar Hotel - here is a picture of Grandma & Grandpa Miller & the land where the Hotel was built. They called it The Rellim Hotel. Anyone kTheir children were Lillian Berni, my mom, Dorothy Halperin & Irwin. Aunt Lillian & Aunt Dorothy married & moved north. Every christmas holiday, the whole family came down to St Pete & we all stayed at The Rellim! What fun we all had. A wonderful breakfast with our regular waitress, Libby. Then a walk across the street, past the beautiful villas, to the clubhouse, pool, beach & Gulf of Mexico. What to do? Maybe a nice rest on a chaise lounge. Oh, time for a swim in the pool then vollyball on the beach. It’s aporoaching 1 o’clock & everyone is “excited” about the fabulous buffet lunch in the “buffet room” at the clubhouse. In the large room, long table were set up, with tableclothes, for people to sit at.
Grandpa, who was Jack Miller, grew up in Vilna, Lithuania. You can see right here on the map exactly where Vilna was, & still is. Here are some images of Vilna then & now. He was born in the late 1800s. When he was about 17 years old, he immigrated to America with his two sisters, Faye and Frieda. Here’s a picture of them. They went through Ellis Island (see photo) & settled on the Lower East Side in New York City. Here’s some pictures of what that looked like in the early 1900s. It was filled with Jews from Eastern Europe and that’s exactly what Grandpa was - a Jew from Eastern Europe! He met Grandma. Her name was Harriet Sher (what are the odds?). She lived in Brooklyn. Here are some photos of Brooklyn from 1910 & 1920. Her parents were immigrants from Russia, but Grandma was born here. Grandpa and Grandma fell in love and got married. The reason for the image is The Rellim Hotel (what is Miller spelled backwards?), built by my grandparents Jack & Harriet Miller) wass on St. Pete Beach (Pass-a-Grille). It is the most endearing image I could think of. The history of the Hotel & my relationship with my family who would all come each year for a family reunion at Christmas time, is below under Miller Family Reunions. The hotel had been sold, but we still have the Miller Family Reunion each yr. for MFR'23 there were about 80 people - cousins (11 & Aunt Marilyn, the only surviving parent - 93!) & their families. My letter to Prince Harry & Megan Markel to "spearhead my idea is below. I propose that New Palestine (& The West Bank) will become a member of The Commonwealth. The Commonwealth will govern New Palestine so there is no chance that if a leader comes in, or one that takes over the government (like Hamas), that wants to invade Israel, kill all the Jews & destroy Israel. The Commonwealth will be an effective & safe governing body. New Palestine will be rebuilt as a Community Living Center (see #4) to allow the Palestinians to become functioning members of the new Palestine. To move their massive installations to buildings (or floors in multi floor buildings) the same size & configertion that exist at MassMOCA. He came to her Grand Opening at the Palace Theater on Times Sq that was renovated for her. He "fell in love" with her & would call her once a week to say hello & ask her to sing part of Over Rainbow. She could call him when ever she wanted, even when he was President - he always took her call. She spent a month with her 3 children at the Kennedy compound one summer 7 was in The White House many times. She had The Judy Garland Show on CBS in '63 & '64. Her original contract was for 4 yrs @ $24 million - The highest amount pd an entertainer on TV through today. She was only on for 1 yr because she was in the same time slot as Bonanza. It was the most popular show on TV & was in color. Pople were buying their 1st color TV in the early 60's. She wanted to sing Battle Hymn of he Republic in his honor but CBS said No - it would be too controvertial. So she conspired with er orchestra leader to sing it at the end of a show & did not put it on the playlist given to CBS execs. I read that before she sang it she said "This is for you Jack". Get out a handkerchief!

This effects the supply of housig & real estate prices are supply & demand & since this has significantly reduced supply & demand is strong, prices have gone up & many can not afford a house.

I like to buy movies - they generally are between $10 & $15 so I can watch them at my own pace & if I want to watch it again or part of it. Among about 20 I have bought, I have The Wizard of Oz (Have yoo ever heard of Judy Garland?). I love the beginning - no place in the world to compare to Munchkinland & what other movies has 200 singing & dancing midgets? There was a "Munchkin Bus that left from Times Sq. & tok them to Hollywood. It was made in '39 but is still the most popular & beloved movie of all time! Over the Rainbow is still the most popular, beloved song of all tie. What is happening in the world & America, & the world? Israel had made its mark among nations & has had a peace treaty with Egypt for over 30 years & with Jordan since ????. All has been good between these countries & Israel. Sudi Arabia is anxious for peace with Israel because Israel is so innovative & they need that innovation for themselves. Nothing warms oyour cockles more than seeing colleg kids (from prestigious Columbia Univ. even) carrying signs saying "We want to kill all the Jews - Bomb & Destroy Tel Aviv!" WOW! History in the making. Jews are tough today - not tlike the Jew of yesteryear when they had to settle for them living in The Jewish Ghetto - now it is Beverly Hills, & not being ble to do many jobs - now Jew hold many jobs of import - Doctors, Lawyers & Canle stick makers (the most important - can't live without candes - how would you elebrate your birthday - duh!). I call Nathanael "The Modern Day David"! Art historian, renowned art critic, a Member of The French academy, novelist & the administrator of Picasso's estate, Maurice Rheims (dead!), wrote:
“As I have said and written before, I consider Dominique Pollès to be one of the most outstanding sculptors of our time. The more often I see his figures, the more I am enchanted by them: it is as though they had been exposed to wind and weather under the waterfalls of Tivoli since the moment of their creation, evoking lips and torsos and bursting with desire and rejoicing.
This gives an idea of the visual and sensual pleasure offered to strollers in the Bagatelle park who, time and again, walk fascinated around his ‘Yterbine’, ‘Aspasie' and ‘Nathaniel’ and in demonstration of his creative genius Pollès handles his patinated bronzes with the same ease and assurance as he does his work in marble. Many artists have been influenced by the powerful, undulating sculpture created by Pollès that his work is worthy of particular attention”.

Dominique Polles' bronze sculptures of female nudes range from just eight inches high to larger than life. Born in Paris in 1945, young Pollès often watched and admired his father as he painted with great sensitivity with his preferred medium of oil paints. In 1964 Dominique began medical school and simultaneously began to follow the courses of the Académie Charpentier
In 1966 his fascination for painting led him to participate as a painter in an art exhibition at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris and subsequently left medical school. During his stay in London in 1967, a chance meeting with the Italian sculptor Enzo Plazzotta sealed his fate as Dominique was tutored the basics of sculpture by the master.
In 1970 he decided to leave for Italy, settling in Carrara, Tuscany. Within three years his sculptures began to be appreciated and then sold especially by American collectors. The more sculptures he made the larger and more ambitious his work had become. His sculptures bestow a startling sense of volume, contour and texture suggesting massive, primitive icons rather than contemporary works. The lure of the polished patinas vary from the traditional browns and greens to bright turquoise, rich reds and cool silver. His subject matter is almost always of the female form with twisting, truncated torsos, emphasising the curving, sensuous planes of the womanly outline.
Considered as the inventor of the “Organic Cubism”, he is immediately identifiable while he is reinventing the interpretation of the fullness of flesh through a new and personal mythology. His creations are a blend of Brancusi's purity, Henry Moore's figurative abstraction and Modigliani's lines and forms.
In 1980 he was awarded the Pascal Bigel by the Rodin Museum in Paris and seven years later the work ‘Great Ogive’ was purchased by the city of Paris to be installed at the Museum Campredon. In 1997 he received the award of the Florence Gould Foundation in an exhibition organised by the Prince Pierre Foundation of Monaco. He has exhibited in France, Belgium, Florida (USA), Italy and the UK.
Dominique Pollès dit Pollès is a French sculptor born in Paris in 1945. His favorite subject of study is the human body, in particular that of women.
On July 3, 1966, he discovered sculpture alongside his sculptor friend Enzo Plazota. On July 28, 1970, he moved to Carrara, city of Marble, and will no longer leave the house of Pietrasanta. A few years later, he created his own foundry at home and almost exclusively used bronze for his works. His creations, inscribed in the tradition of Greek sculpture, are a short-circuit between Aristide Maillol and Brancusi, between the mass of one and the tip of the other. The plump but dynamic bodies are all the more attractive thanks to their patina, sensual and polished, while their shape echoes the art of Picasso
MassMOCA-StPete
I Luv "The Berg"
I have been to museums and art venues all over the world and I’ve never seen one as exciting as MassMOCA (Mass. Museum of Contemporary Art). It is in North Adams Mass., about 5 miles to the east of Williamstown in northern Mass. It is contemporary art with huge installations & lots of exciting, cultural activities. You can YouTube MassMOCA in 2 1/2 minutes to get an overview of the facility. There’s a lot of other information both on YouTube and on Google.
My idea is that in St. Pete, a facility could be built with the same size and dimensions of the floors at MassMOCA. The structures there are large - each about 80 yards by about 20 yards wide, most 2 stories. MassMOCA-StPete could be a multi story building with large elevators to carry the large art & installations up to the floors. This would allow the fabulous installations at MassMOCA be move to Florida after the showing at Mass MOCA. This would 1 - Give the artist additional exposure & 2 - Promote MassMOCA, which is primarily a summer destination.
There could be a reciprocal relationship where installations in the MassMOCA-St Pete move to MassMOCA, if desired.
I was born and grew up in St. Pete, and at that time it was known as "The city of the living dead” because it was mostly retirees, many sitting on green benches downtown. Now it’s a vibrant community of primarily young people, with a very powerful art presence, including the Salvador Dali Museum, which has a fabulous collection, the James Museum of Western and Native American Art and Sculpture, the largest collection in the world, the American Arts & Crafts Museum, the largest collection in the world, the St Petersburg Museum of Art, which has a very beautiful permanent collection & wonderful shows, the Dale Chihuly Collection, the most famous glass blower in the world and many other art venues. It seems like a natural match, and I think in time MassMOCA-St Pete would become the most popular tourist destination in St Pete. In addition, it will give MassMOCA a tremendous boost.
It was originally the Sprague electric factory with many large buildings, two-story brick, and had been abandoned for about 30 years before the town of North Adams decided to create MassMOCA there. There is a wonderful “permanent” 2 floors of Sol LeWitt colorful wall “drawings”. Youtube Sol Lewitt at MassMOCA.
The cultural offerings are extensive & exciting. I went once & this crazy, amazing band, Mucca Pazza, was playing wild music & marching all over - WOW! You can youtube Mucca Pazza at MassMOCA.
